Hi, I’m studying for this exam and I see a lot of confusing comments online.
Your explanations are clear so I was wondering if you plan to post all the other questions and explanations too any time soon?
I have to pass this exam before March 1, 2016…

i’am can explain only 2-3 question per week =(

Would it be possible to ask for the questions about are REALLY confusing?
The easier ones I can figure out myself, I hope :)
That way it wouldn’t be as many questions for you to explain.

Hi, me again ;)
This question (Q47 in most dumps) has me baffled.
I understand A and C are correct, but I can’t figure out if the last should be D or E and worse, I don’t know how to test it.
Could you help me out?

Q47:
Which three features work together, to allow a SQL statement to have different cursors for the same statement based on different selectivity ranges?
A. Bind Variable Peeking
B. SQL Plan Baselines
C. Adaptive Cursor Sharing
D. Bind variable used in a SQL statement
E. Literals in a SQL statement

hello, short answer is:
B-false as it stablize plan
E-false as question says that features must work together , so https://blogs.oracle.com/optimizer/entry/how_do_adaptive_cursor_sharing ACS works with binds

Just wanted to let you know I passed the exam today :)
This question actually came up on the exam and ACD is definitely correct as that is what I chose and it didn’t show up in my feedback.
Thank you so much for your replies!

Q4 – Why E is correct. Checked it works without the file in the path, or just with symlink, so it doesn’t need to be directly placed there.
Please let me know about your experience on it?

Hi,
first of all: many thanks for the detailed Explanation you provided. I have a remark about question 5: could answer A be correct?

Here your Explanation:
-A.Use the MD_RESTORE command to restore metadata for an existing disk group by passing the existing disk group name as an input parameter and use RMAN to restore the data.
>> restore of metadata does not create diskgroup

According to md_restore help, it is possible to create ore recreare a diskgroup with the option full:
–full – Specifies to create a disk group and restore metadata.

Examples
The first example restores the disk group DATA from the backup script
and creates a copy. The second example takes an existing disk group
DATA and restores its metadata. The third example restores disk group
DATA completely but the new disk group that is created is called DATA2.
The fourth example restores from the backup file after applying the
overrides defined in the override.sql script file

ASMCMD [+] > md_restore –full -G data –silent /tmp/dgbackup20090714
ASMCMD [+] > md_restore –nodg -G data –silent /tmp/dgbackup20090714
ASMCMD [+] > md_restore –newdg -o ‘data:data2’ –silent
/tmp/dgbackup20090714
ASMCMD [+] > md_restore -S override.sql –silent /tmp/dgbackup20090714

hello, thx for reply =)
question say – we lost diskgroup and by mark A) -solution is restore metadata etc. So

Examples
The first example restores the disk group DATA from the backup script
and creates a copy. —-> The second example takes an existing disk group DATA and restores its METADATA.<----- The third example restores disk group DATA completely but the new disk group that is created is called DATA2. The fourth example restores from the backup file after applying the overrides defined in the override.sql script file

1)ASMCMD [+] > md_restore —full -G data —silent /tmp/dgbackup20090714

2)ASMCMD [+] > md_restore —nodg -G data —silent /tmp/dgbackup20090714

3)ASMCMD [+] > md_restore —newdg -o ‘data:data2’ —silent /tmp/dgbackup20090714

4)ASMCMD [+] > md_restore -S override.sql —silent /tmp/dgbackup20090714

and it does not create diskgroup
